Spring 2019 manicure – only fashionably blooming nails!

Just a moment, just a moment… spring is ahead! What will it bring? Among other things: blooming nails. But beware: if they will be nails covered with floral prints, that’s great, while if the nails will bloom with white spots – that’s worse. Is it possible to reconcile the latest manicure with the whiteness of the nails?

Yes, it is possible to reconcile, but you need to approach it with your head. After all, when we have blooming nails that are the result of a condition defined by the professional name of leukonychia, a careful manicure is one of the preventive recommendations. On the other hand – this careful manicure for morbidly blooming nails as much as possible can refer to floral and plant motifs, which in spring will be one of the most fashionable trends. But one step at a time.

      Flowering nails, or leukonychia

Leukonychia is otherwise known as vitiligo of the nails. It is one of the most common conditions that harm the appearance of the nail plate. It is characterized by the appearance of white discoloration on the nail in the form of individual dots, which can sometimes cluster into larger foci, take the form of striations or stripes. With significantly severe vitiligo of the nails, the spots can also occupy most of the plate.

“Nail bloom” can be inherited, but also acquired. Interestingly, only those lesions that are located in the nail matrix deserve to be called true leukonychia, according to dermatologists.

When nails “bloom”, and the cause of this condition is not colored polish on the plate, but white spots, it is necessary to look at the diet and health of the body. This is because there may not be enough iron, mineral salts, vitamins and sometimes protein in the menu. White spots can also appear as a result of heavy metal poisoning or after chemotherapy.

We may encounter blooming nails more often in the spring, as this is a period when the body lacks vitamins and minerals. It is then worth reaching for dietary supplements, whose action is aimed at improving the condition of the nail plate.

Flowering nails, or floral and plant manicures

This is a much more aesthetically pleasing variety of nail “blooms”. Very on-trend, by the way, since one of the leading trends for nails for spring are precisely floral motifs – created in various color combinations. Here, leaves can be colorful, and flowers – green.

In the trends of hybrid manicure (Wroclaw and Warsaw), in addition to colorful motifs derived from the kingdom of flora, there are also other interesting ideas:

      • Colored tips or borders – the nail plate is usually painted in a uniform color, but the tip of the nail, its side or sides, or its entire perimeter are painted with polish in a different, usually strongly contrasting color.
      • Nails like CDs – the plate is covered with silver-colored lacquer or semi-transparent hologram. The tips of the nails, on the other hand, are painted in a metallic, distinctive turquoise-blue color, twinned with that found on the rim of CDs.
      • Shaded tips – can be in the same color as the rest of the plate or in a complementary shade. This creates interesting juxtapositions, for example, opaque green and semi-transparent, or the iconic nude color turning to smoky pink.
      • Patterns – here there is full freedom: from abstractions in the style of cubist Picasso, through panther motifs or drawings imitating lines created by thin pens.
      • Baby Boomer Wroclaw – so called fuzzy French
      • Fairy tale themes – Molest, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse… and many more.

Important: classic colors in the form of beige, ecru and red (this one is in fresh raspberry and coral shades for spring 2019) do not go out of fashion.
