Base application: On the prepared nails, we apply a thin layer of hybrid base and cure it in a UV/LED lamp according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Magnetic polish: Now it’s time to apply the magnetic polish. We apply the first thin layer of polish and cure it. Then, we apply the second layer and before curing it, hold the magnet just above the nail surface to achieve the desired cat eye effect. Most often, magnets have different shapes and patterns, allowing for experimentation. After achieving the effect, we cure the polish in the lamp.
Top coat: Finally, we apply a layer of top coat, which secures the pattern and gives the nails shine. Cure in the lamp and it’s done!
Tips for beginners
If this is your first adventure with the cat eye effect, you might need some time to master the technique. It’s important to hold the magnet very close to the nail but not touch it to avoid ruining the pattern. Sometimes it’s worth practicing on one nail before moving on to the rest.
