Choose the right type of gel

The first step is choosing the right products. We definitely recommend high-quality gels or acrylics, which are characterized by high hardness. Such materials are much more durable than classic plastic tips. You can be sure that they will not be as prone to cracking and breaking.

      Construction is the most important!

Proper nail structure – the key to its durability

The durability of nails, especially those styled with gel or acrylic, largely depends on their proper structure and thickness. A key element is the so-called C curve, which is the slight arch of the nail visible in cross-section. A properly shaped C curve provides the nail with stability and even distribution of forces during daily activities, minimizing the risk of breaking. Special attention should be paid to the stress area, which is the spot in the middle of the nail plate most susceptible to mechanical injuries. It should be adequately reinforced by the correct application of the styling product—not too thin, but also not too thick—to maintain a natural appearance while ensuring resistance to damage. Paying attention to the appropriate thickness and proportions in nail construction is the best way to prevent cracking or breaking in critical areas.

Regular renewal of styling – the foundation of safety for long nails

Long nails are synonymous with elegance and well-groomed hands, but their beauty goes hand in hand with responsible care. One of the most important steps is regularly renewing the styling every 3–4 weeks. Why is this so important? As the nail grows, the styling shifts toward the free edge, changing the weight distribution and causing the tip of the nail plate to become more burdened. This shift increases the risk of cracking or breaking, especially in the stress area, which is the weakest point of the nail. Additionally, the lack of proper refilling can lead to loosening of the styling material, which encourages mechanical damage or creates spaces where bacteria and fungi can develop. Regular renewal not only ensures the aesthetic appearance of nails, but, above all, protects them from damage, taking care of the health of the natural nail plate.

      Choose styles in moderation

Remember that overly long and decorative nails may be more prone to breaking. If you care about their durability, it’s better to choose slightly more modest styles. You can opt for shorter or medium-length nails and avoid too many decorations to maintain safety while performing certain tasks.

We hope these tips will be useful for you. Taking care of beautiful and healthy nails requires some effort, but it’s worth it! Remember that you can always count on our professional advice. We look forward to your comments and opinions.
