Necessary accessories
To create marble nails, you need:
– Dipping plates (available in nail styling equipment stores or you can make them yourself)
– Two colors of hybrid or gel polishes (preferably contrasting, e.g., white and black)
– Water with a drop of dishwashing liquid
– Dipping sticks
– Base and topselfclear
You can also use special decoration paints if you prefer more intense colors. Some brands even offer ready-made kits for creating the marble effect.
Step by step
1. Prepare the surface – fill the dipping plates with water and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. This will prevent the polishes from mixing with the water.
2. Apply polishes – use sticks to apply small drops of both polish colors on the water’s surface. The more drops, the more pronounced the effect will be.
3. Create patterns – gently mix the polishes on the water’s surface with a stick to create the desired marble patterns. You can also spread, bring closer, or layer them.
4. Dip nails – once you achieve a satisfactory effect, gently dip the nails of one hand, then the other, into the water. Try not to disturb the patterns on the water’s surface.
5. Remove excess – after dipping, remove excess polish around the nails with a stick.
6. Cure – cure the polish under a UV or LED lamp according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Secure – finally, apply a layer of topselfclear to extend the styling’s durability.
Practical tips
– The more colors you use, the more interesting the marble effect will be. You can mix even 3-4 shades!
– For a better effect, you can repeat the nail dipping process several times.
– Don’t forget the hybrid base, which will make it easier to remove the styling after some time.
